- Educational programs for community groups consultation services to clergy, congregations, corporations, physicians and community groups
Our offices are conveniently located with ample parking. Our staff therapists are licensed, certified and theologically informed. The Samaritan Center is accredited by the Denver-based Samaritan organization and American Association of Pastoral Counselors.
At the Samaritan Counseling Center, we offer a safe place for discovery, healing and growth. In our fast-paced world, it is difficult to escape the pressures and complexities of daily living. We believe psychology and theology – together – provide a foundation for personal growth, resolving problems and getting more out of life.
Psychotherapy comes from two Greek words, psyche meaning soul, and therapeuein meaning to take care of or serve. So psychotherapy means serving the soul, not only treating it.
We provide a unique kind of psychotherapy that takes spirituality and faith seriously to meet the needs of individuals of all faiths or no faith. We are professionally integrating psychotherapy and spirituality in an interfaith community.

Getting Started…
Please email us at siwinnetka@earthlink.net or call our confidential intake line (847-446-4955, ext. 26) and leave a message with our Clinical Director, Dr. Kate Philben.
She will return your call and ask for a brief description of why you are seeking counseling, and then determine the therapist who would be the best match for you.
Based on the information you give her, she will then ask one of our therapists to call you and make a first appointment.
You are also welcome to call one of our therapists directly. Information about each therapist is located on the staff page of our web-site, and each one has a confidential voice mail which you can reach by calling 847-446-6955.
